Professional and Warm Care Given
This is a thank you to your staff for the outstanding reception my mother received upon admission to The Leaves. It was not an easy decision to come to The Leaves for care and it involved a long four and a half hour drive to make it to the facility. But as soon as we arrived, our fears were put to rest by the warm and gentle reception we received.
The admission process was so smooth that we almost couldn't believe it was done because it was accomplished with so little fuss! The Director of Christian Science Nursing kept in touch with us along the way so that the staff knew when we would arrive and were waiting to receive us! The Christian Science Nurse Supervisor and his assistant greeted us at the door immediately, helped mom into the room which was just steps away, and let us all get settled. The paperwork was minimal and completed after a warm meal was given. I was braced for something more involved so I was immensely grateful that she was ushered into a room and made comfortable right away.
I can't say enough good things about the professionalism and the warmth that was displayed to Mom. Those first few hours were so critical in putting, not only Mom's fears to rest, but the family's fears as well. I could just feel a weight of false responsibility lift from off Mom's shoulders since she had been caring for herself for a long time. Also, a weight lifted from mine as well, knowing she could now focus on healing while the practical details of care could be accomplished without having her give so much attention to it.
Thank you, thank you to you and your staff. These little details matter and make such a different in furthering healing not only for the patient but for the family as well.
