What is The Leaves?

The Leaves, Inc., is a Christian Science nursing facility located in Richardson, Texas, just north of Dallas, Texas.  

Mission Statement

We provide Christian Science nursing care in an inspiring, gracious and healing atmosphere. We strive to unite in Love to rise higher in Christian Science nursing, leading to healing.

What is Christian Science Nursing?

Christian Science nursing provides skilled, practical assistance and care to individuals relying on Christian Science for healing.

The foundation of the care provided at The Leaves can be found in The Manual of The Mother Church:​

“Christian Science Nurse. Sect. 31. A member of The Mother Church who represents himself or herself as a Christian Science nurse shall be one who has a demonstrable knowledge of Christian Science practice, who thoroughly understands the practical wisdom necessary in a sick room, and who can take proper care of the sick. The cards of such persons may be inserted in The Christian Science Journal under rules established by the publishers.“

History of The Leaves

The Leaves has operated at its present 8.5 acre site since the original west wing of its main building opened in 1966.

”In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”
